Dr Pattraporn Chuenglertsiri is a Co-Investigator on the Parenting on the Thailand/Myanmar Border study. She is a lecturer at Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, Thailand. She received her PhD in Migration Studies (2020) from the University of Sussex, UK. She is also a recipient of Chancellor’s International Research Scholarship (2016-2019) from the University of Sussex. Her doctoral research title is “Transnationalism, Family life, and Wellbeing: Opportunities and Challenges Facing Thai-British Families in the UK”. The project focuses on transnational lived experiences of Thai-British couples in the UK.
Pattraporn has an educational background in International Relations (BA, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand) and Social Studies of Gender (MSc, Lund University, UK). Her research interests include gender, migration, transnational marriage, wellbeing, and qualitative methodology. Her past project at IPSR includes Mahidol University Global Health program (2013-2016) and the project on “Transnational Migration in Transition: Transformative Characteristics of Temporary Mobility of People (EURA-NET)” (2013-2016) which was funded by The European Commission.
