Hal Cooper is a Research Manager for the "Parenting in the Preschool System in Malaysia" project, a factorial multisite randomised trial to optimise the effectiveness and scalability of ParentChat and ParentText within the national government education system. He has experience in the NGO education and development sector, working with migrants and refugees in Sicily, and as a research assistant in parenting programmes carried out in South Africa and the U.K.
He is also an MSc Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation candidate 2022-2023. For his research, he is conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis of parenting interventions to support young children's foundational skills development (literacy and numeracy) in low- and middle-income countries.
Mr Cooper has a Master's degree in Education from UCL's Institute of Education, and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Cape Town.
